Kenya reveals a massive concentration of large animals – predators and prey alike are easily observed. Home to thousands of animals, the Masai Mara game drives are a real highlight. Renowned for the annual Great Migration (normally Aug-Sep), to and from neighbouring Serengeti, of zebra, gazelles and a million wildebeest, 'the Mara' is a Big Five reserve and a Big Cat haunt.
The savanna grasslands of East Africa offer the most famous wildlife spectacle in the world. Along with the incredible sights of thousands of game animals is a virtually unrivalled variety of birdlife. Like big game, much is remarkably easy to find and watch closely with time to photograph. Lakes Naivasha and Nakuru also reveal great variety of birds and animals.
Huge skies dome over lakes and deserts, forests and savannah, palm grove shores and the Great Rift Valley, one of the natural wonders of the world. The habitats of abundant wildlife, the ancestral home of Maasai tribes and successful conservation are revealed.
