Walk around the old town and visit Metechi Church, Sioni Cathedral and the bell tower. If Sioni strikes a chord with you, you’ll be swept away by Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, the Gergeti Trinity Church near to the arresting Mount Kazbek and the Alaverdi Cathedral in Alazani valley. In fact, this land is peppered with beautiful churches, abbeys, monasteries and cathedrals of all shapes and sizes.

The ancient, unusual cave town of Uplistsikhe, Stalin’s Museum and the Georgian National Museum will satisfy a history lover’s cravings and are sure to highlights of a journey through Georgia.
