Islands of the Philippines
Combining the historical and natural wonders of the Philippines from the islands of Luzon and Palawan to the Visayas
The Philippines are a unique destination, sure to surprise and delight even the most seasoned traveller. The archipelago is made up of over 7000 jewel-like islands; emerald jungles and pearly cliffs standing out among turquoise waters.
Whilst on a tour of the Philippines you will be able to see the colonial influences on the local culture. This is most prevalent in Manila, the capital city, which was the centre of Spanish might in the region for over 300 years before power was ceded to America. Here you will find an invigorating blend of the country’s long and rich history, and the metropolitan feel of the bustling modern city. The ancient city centre is known as the Intramuros, where you will see intricate carvings in the solid stone.
The landscapes, flora and fauna of the Philippines are a treasure trove for naturalists. Visiting the area allows you to see the chocolate hills, a unique geological feature, which is one of the area’s foremost tourist destinations. Relax on spectacular white beaches, with luxurious sand so soft it feels almost powdery. Explore tangled jungles where you will see beautiful flowers and maybe even meet a bug eyed tarsier.
