Jules Verne launches Channel Islands tour for 2023

01 Mar 2023 Rooster PR

Jules Verne’s new Islands in the Channel is the only tour that covers four islands in the English Channel. It brings the small group, escorted tour specialist’s pioneering spirit of adventure to Jersey, Guernsey, Sark and Herm.

Jules Verne’s General Manager Debbie O’Neill says: “We launched our Closer to Home range of UK tours during the pandemic. Then, in response to requests from customers wanting to travel closer to home but equally wanting something a little exotic we launched the Islands in the Channel tour in 2023.”

Familiarly British but curiously continental; some Channel Islanders still speak local dialects that stem from medieval Norman French. The islands enjoy typically warm summers and mild winters with subtropical plants, an incredible array of birdlife, and the occasional dolphin pod.

Debbie says: “The big benefit of booking a tour is that you get a superb breadth and depth of experience in such a short space of time. This, and always being accompanied by local experts makes the trip unique and memorable.”

Jules Vernes’s new Islands in the Channel tour includes:

The tour explores a landscape of gentle fields, shaded wooded lanes of old-world charm, sheltered bays and craggy coastlines that merge with the drama of the Atlantic Ocean.

It discovers ruins older than the pyramids, ancient castles that sheltered the island from invasion and the mysterious secrets of underground world war bunkers that have shaped the island and its people.

There’s time to relax on white sandy beaches, uncover fascinating history, dine on fresh local food, and interact with friendly locals keen to share their love of the islands.

Jules Verne’s General Manager Debbie O’Neill says:

“We differentiate ourselves by focusing on the details. The places, the transport, the short stops, the meals and accommodation are opportunities for us to make each travel experience a little bit more enjoyable. We thoughtfully integrate elements of local culture with stays at historical accommodation, local cuisine, authentic interaction with locals and immersive travel experiences.”
