Explore the mysterious and quaint cultural capital Lviv and fast-evolving, green country capital Kiev, linked by express train, option to visit the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone
Ukraine is a diverse destination thanks to its long history and colourful traditions and it is one of Europe’s least discovered countries but home to warm-hearted and fiercely proud people.
The Ukrainian capital Kiev is an attractive city of tree-lined boulevards and wooded city parks, through which the mighty Dnieper River flows on its way to the Black Sea. It was here where the Russian nation was founded in the form of the Eastern Slavic state of Kyivan Rus.
The strikingly pretty UNESCO-listed city of Lviv in Western Ukraine, formerly known as Lemberg, Lvov or Lwów, escaped bombing during WWII and is filled with original towers, churches, spires and cobbled streets with a distinctly European feel.
Following the interest evoked by HBO’s miniseries, the tragic history of Chernobyl’s nuclear disaster has been in the spotlight. Following a recent visit, we can offer a compelling option to visit the Exclusion Zone, the Nuclear Power Plant and the town of Pripyat, the site of one of the most notorious man-made disasters.
