Explore the Netherlands

The Netherlands, or Holland, conjures up imagery of tulips, windmills and a lot of water. But visit this pristine and particular, liberal and laid-back country with us and you’ll be pleasantly surprised how much culture, art and history can be found in such a small area.

In the 17th century, Amsterdam underwent huge development which included the construction of the capital’s huge number of bridges. Today, you can enjoy no fewer than 1,000 bridges crossing the city’s network of canals and waterways.

Cruises are a natural and enjoyable way of discovering the historical canal district which was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2011. By foot, you can explore this very modern metropolis and its intimate warren of winding streets and pleasant squares.

The Netherlands has a great Fine Art heritage, which you can enjoy in the Rijksmuseum, as well as the Kröller-Müller, home to Van Gogh, Monet, Gauguin, Picasso and Mondrian artworks. Other remarkable attractions include Anne Frank House and Hermitage Amsterdam.

Wherever you venture, you’ll find the picture-perfect gabled townhouses, pretty canals and church spires of holiday postcards.
