The cosmopolitan Seychellois have roots in a melting pot of diverse races and traditions. This cultural diversity with racial harmony remains the mainstay of today’s vibrant yet tranquil Creole nation.
Reputed to be the original site of the Garden of Eden, the Seychelles is a living museum of natural history and nurtures an amazing array of endemic species within its surrounds of exceptional natural beauty including the Coco-de-mer, the jellyfish tree, Seychelles’ paradise flycatcher and warbler, not forgetting the giant tortoises who roam the islands.
The main island, Mahé, features powdery beaches, fantastic wildlife and plant life amidst the stunning scenery of its extraordinary national parks, Praslin offers an authentic insight into island life and La Digue, village life at a slower pace.
We have found what we believe to be the best and most convenient way to enjoy the balmy waters of the Indian Ocean exploring these myriad islands. Our small ship sailing, including meals and zodiac excursions, offers fantastic value and the chance to island-hop.
