MS Darakum

Join us on an unforgettable adventure through Egypt on one of our Nile cruises on the MS Darakum. This luxurious 5-star vessel is especially suited to the long cruise between Cairo and Aswan with a shallower draft and provides an exceptional standard of service, with attentive staff, delicious cuisine and fantastic entertainment. The Moroccan inspired interior is lavish and luxurious, with more public areas/space than most Egyptian vesselsoffering the perfect environment to relax and enjoy your trip along the Nile.

Where does the MS Darakum vessel go?

Our luxury MS Darakum cruises take you on a journey of Egypt, following in the footsteps of 19th-century excursionists. It is one of few vessels that have been designed to travel the entire length of the River Nile, offering a truly rare experience for those who come onboard. Travellers that want to see it all can set sail on a full 600-mile trip along the river. Or those seeking a shorter journey can enjoy Egypt river cruises from Cairo to Luxor – the choice is yours.

What excursions are there during MS Darakum river cruises?

Our fantastic MS Darakum cruises set sail along the River Nile, where you can experience both popular tourist attractions and rarely visited sites – giving you a glimpse into an old way of life. Enjoy a journey along the 600-Mile Nile which takes you from Aswan all the way up to Cairo in the north. Along the way you’ll explore the tombs and temples of the Valley of the Kings, enjoy views of Lake Nasser at the High Dam and visit the Pyramids and the treasures of Tutankhamun. There are many other Nile cruises on the MS Darakum that we offer, take a look at our Egypt page to see more.

What accommodation can I expect on board?

The MS Darakum vessel has 52 tastefully designed cabins spread over three decks, each with a en-suite bathroom, hairdryer, safe, mini-bar, tea/coffee making facilities and satellite TV. The cabins are air-conditioned for your comfort and have queen size beds with soft Egyptian cotton sheets, so you can get a great night’s sleep after a busy day exploring. All cabins have large picture windows except Lower Deck cabins which have sealed marine windows.

What facilities are there on the MS Darakum?

The MS Darakum vessel offers a 5-star experience from the minute you step onboard. Its deluxe restaurant offers excellent buffet and served meals combining Egyptian and international cuisine. The elegant lounge bar adjoins a comfortable outdoor lounge for observing the continually changing riverside scenes, where you can enjoy afternoon tea or evening drinks and dancing.
