FLIGHT OF THE CONDOR

From Machu Picchu across Lake Titicaca and along the Andes to the world’s largest salt flats and the dramatic Atacama Desert

The Condor is an enduring icon of South America, a sign of wealth and power. The Incas believed the Condor brought the Sun to the sky and were messengers to the gods.

Following the path of the Condor, explore the epic Andean mountain range, a landscape of stunning beauty and contrasts, travelling from Peru via Bolivia to Chile. Discover the wondrous man-made structures of Peru, the diversity of Bolivia with its salt flats and underground cave systems, then experience the unique eco-systems of Chile and ancient cultures of the Atacama.

Extremes of nature have shaped the history and development of South America and indigenous cultures have developed within the forbidding isolation of its mountain ranges. The deserts, ice flows and lonely archipelago have retained a breadth of wildlife and ecology which have continued to fascinate adventurers and naturalists through the ages.
