Encompass the depths and variety of Costa Rica’s ecosystems from the Caribbean lowlands of Tortuguero on the east coast, the central highlands of Irazú, the Pacific west coast, to the Dominical area in the south. This small country covers less than 1% of the world and yet has 5% of its bio-diversity.
Well-known places of Costa Rica are visited along with some more remote areas of the country. The natural hydrologic system of Palo Verde National Park gives home to the most important concentration of birds in the country, plus reptile wildlife and monkeys. The fishing village of Potrero is surrounded by tropical vegetation uncrowded beaches and stunning coves to discover. San Gerardo de Dota, a rural town set against the Talamanca mountain range, is surrounded by forested hills and an ideal place to spot the Quetzal, among many other bird species.
