Day 6 A Barossa Valley Wine Tour where we are invited to the Winemaker's Laboratory, to blend our own wine and receive a personalised bottle. Lunch and a winery tour at Jacobs Creek Winery. (B, L)
Day 7 Visit Kangaroo Island, walk on the beach among rare Australian sea lions with a National Park Ranger. After lunch at Vivonne Bay Bistro, spend time at Flinders Chase National Park, a sanctuary for native Australian animals including kangaroos, koalas and echidnas. Walk the rugged coastline for great photographic opportunities and stunning sea views. Down Admiral's Arch boardwalk to a spectacular rock archway, a natural nursery and safe haven for playful long-nosed fur seals. (B, L)
Day 8 Fly to Darwin for two nights at the 5-star Hilton Hotel. An afternoon city tour gives us an insight of Australia's only tropical capital city. (B)
Day 9 Kakadu tour includes a cruise on the famous Yellow Water River, a unique opportunity to see the Saltwater Crocodile, spot a buffalo or two on the floodplains and see a myriad of birds. (B, L)
Day 10 Board the famous Ghan Train travelling to the outback town of Alice Springs. Included is an excursion to Katherine which shows the inner workings of life on a cattle station. Overnight in a Gold Sleeper compartment. (B, L, D)
Day 11 Arrive in Alice Springs for an overnight at the 4-star Chifley Alice Springs Resort. A Tour of Alice Springs includes School of Air, the Royal Flying Doctors service and Old Telegraph Station. (B, D)
Day 12 Travel to Ayers Rock for two nights at the 5-star Sails in the Desert Hotel. As the sun sets, witness the majestic presence and many shades of colour for which Uluru is most famous while enjoying a glass of sparkling wine and canapes. (B)
Day 13 Uluru Sunrise and Base Tour, and visit the Aboriginal Cultural Centre. Sounds of Silence evening tour begins on a lone sand dune, a meandering path takes us to an uninterrupted 360 degree view of this vast landscape with Uluru ahead and the domes of Kata Tjuta behind, this is possibly the most spectacular sunset you will ever see. Day 18 In the beautiful heritage listed Fitzroy Gardens, visit Cook's Cottage, built in Yorkshire by the parents of Captain James Cook and brought to Melbourne by Sir Russell Grimwade in 1934. Dine on the Colonial Tramcar restaurant with a fully stocked bar. (B, D)
Day 19 The great Ocean Road Tour is a magical experience of famous surf beaches and spectacular wildlife. After a light BBQ lunch at the iconic Cape Otway Lighthouse, drive through the Otway rainforest to see the giant rock stacks, 'the Twelve Apostles' and the rugged shipwreck coast of the Loch Ard Gorge and Gibsons Steps.
