Voyages Jules Verne

Treasures of the Nile

Egypt's iconic temples and tombs, combining the Pyramids with a full week's Nile cruise.

Experience the temples, tombs, ancient relics and scenic splendour of Egypt. Stay in view of the Pyramids and explore Giza, one of the ancient capitals of Egypt. Cairo's Egyptian Museum is the world's greatest repository of ancient Egyptian treasures including those from Tutankhamun's tomb.

Our Nile cruises with a choice of vessels meet the highest standards of comfort, food, service and hygiene; MS Hamees represents excellent value for a 5-star vessel whilst our unique luxury steamship, SS Misr, rates in our top five programmes worldwide.

SS Misr was luxuriously restored for Jules Verne in a choice of period styles, and is indeed one of the 'Treasures of the Nile', the most appropriate way to follow in the footsteps of the first British visitors to Egypt and experience the temples, tombs, ancient relics and scenic splendour of Egypt. Sites are currently quiet and may be visited without the usual tourist crowds.

Notes

Mooring may be alongside other vessels with views obstructed and access to your own boat through other vessels' lobbies and across gangplanks.

In Luxor the local authorities are introducing regulations to move boats' moorings away from the town centre and your vessel will normally be berthed outside the town.

The programme may be altered due to navigational factors or local conditions.

Early morning starts are often made to excursions thereby avoiding the main crowds at the sites and the intensity of the midday sun.
