Voyages Jules Verne

Discover Malaysia and Borneo

Travellers have been enticed by this region’s riches for centuries, whether spices, silk or silver. Today, their beaches, beauty and culture make them popular with backpackers and honeymooners alike. Come with us and fall in love with this tropical paradise, too.

The island of Borneo is split between Malaysia in the north and Indonesia in the south, with Brunei nestled in between. It is home to some of the oldest rainforests in the world, many of which have been incorporated into national parks. They create dramatic backdrops for the island’s pristine beaches and shelter active volcanoes, remote tribes and a wide variety of wildlife, including the Orang-Utan.

As well as a wild natural world to explore, on our tours you’ll have the opportunity to visit Sarawak, the one-time outpost of the ‘White Rajahs’, Kuching’s museums, temples and classic architecture, and the Mulu caves – the largest cave complex in the world.

Weather

Weather & Climate

Malaysia weather benefits from a tropical climate with high temperatures and high humidity throughout the year. Daytime temperatures rise above 30°C year-round and night-time temperatures rarely drop below 20°C.

When to go

The best time to visit depends on which part of Malaysia you intend to visit as different parts of the country have their dry and wet seasons at different times of year.

Testimonials

We could not fault Malaysian Airlines and Asian Trails. A superb, memorable holiday.
