From the temples, markets and riverside scenes of Bangkok to hill tribes, ancient Ayuthaya & Sukhothai featuring a cruise on the River Kwai and the infamous ‘Bridge over the River Kwai’

Many will be familiar with the film, ‘The Bridge on the River Kwai’ directed by David Lean based on the construction of the Burma-Siam ‘Death Railway’. Cruising on the Kwai allows visits to the bridge, memorials and museums honouring the prisoners of war. The river is unspoilt with wonderful scenery and a rich variety of flora and birdlife, as well as local markets, temples, Khmer ruins, waterfalls and hot springs.

Explore Bangkok’s gilded temples and modern towers, the ancient capitals of Ayuthaya and Sukhothai, the hill tribe culture of Chiang Rai and the ancient Lanna capital of Chiang Mai.
