Return to India

For the returning visitor to India, travel from Mumbai to the Ganges, revealing India’s temples, forts, palaces and religious & colonial heritage and following in the tracks of
Kipling’s ‘Jungle Book’!

Whilst most visitors start with India's 'Golden Triangle' of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, India is a country that repays repeated visits. This new itinerary includes many iconic sights from former Bombay through the central (Madhya) and northern (Uttar) provinces (Pradesh) to colonial Lucknow and the temples of Khajuraho via the forts of Orchha and Gwalior - staying at heritage and good 4 and 5-star hotels, so off the beaten track without the need to sacrifice comfort! Travel to India's holiest place, Varanasi on the Ganges to experience the spirit of India. India has an amazing variety of wildlife, as conveyed in Rudyard Kipling's "Jungle Book".

Bhandhavgarh, with forested hills interspersed by savannas, boasts the highest density of tigers in India, now arguably the best place to see a tiger but also supporting a rich variety of wildlife including leopards, bison, sloths, bears and a myriad of birdlife.
