Highlights of India

An exceptional new tour combining our successful Highlights of North and South India tours covering the best of India in an affordable itinerary to offer an unforgettable experience

A rewarding introductory tour of India through the history, culture, heritage and landscapes of India. Travel from Delhi, the nation’s capital, Agra for the Taj Mahal, the fabled pink city of Jaipur and Ranthambore reserve for a good chance to glimpse the elusive tiger in the wild through the scenic and cultural heritage of Rajasthan, a princely state and land of contrasts with holy sites, impregnable fortresses and magnificent palaces of warrior kings and princes, saints and mystics.

Journey southwards to the vibrant, colourful city of Bombay (now Mumbai) and verdant Kerala, exploring the former Portugese colony of Cochin, the scenic Western Ghats, the British Imperial heritage of Madras (now Chennai) and the French architecture of Pondicherry.

Cruises are featured on Lake Udaipur, the Keralan backwaters and Periyar lake.

The famed Dravidian temples of Tamil Nadu developed from the 7th century under four dynasties that ruled Southern India from Kanchipuram, Tanjore and Madurai.
