River Cruises to China

An expansive country, with cosmopolitan cities and an ancient heart. Driven by customs and traditions, steeped in superstition, yet propelled by new technology, China is as fascinating as it is diverse, and on one of our China river cruises, you’ll get to experience all of this.

Where do China river cruises sail?

When you choose our China river cruises, you’ll get to experience the world’s third-longest river – the Yangtze. After centuries of movement, and cut from the ancient countryside, the river has created the spell-binding Three Gorges.

On our Discover China tour, after exploring Beijing, Xian, and Guilin, you’ll enjoy three nights aboard the MV Century Legend, as you experience escorted cruises along the Yangtze river.

What excursions can I expect while on a China river cruise?

Excursions on our escorted cruises on the Yangtze river allow you to experience life along the shores of this river. You’ll travel to the Shibaozhai and explore the Precious Stone Fortress. Built in 1650 during the Qing Dynasty, it’s a masterclass in Chinese architecture.

You’ll also sail through the impressive Qutang and Wu gorges, and enjoy an escorted excursion to the Shennv Stream. Upon disembarking in Maoping, you’ll visit the Three Gorges Dam site. The biggest dam in the world, the site also includes beautiful parks and gardens for you to explore.

What facilities are there on Jules Verne China river cruises?

Our China river cruises have been designed to showcase the Yangtze river in all its glory, and the facilities on board are just as stunning. Crafted with all the opulence you’d expect from a luxury hotel, interiors enjoy a subtle nod to the Orient.

Meals are served buffet-style and include both local delicacies as well as a variety of international cuisines. There are plenty of activities to keep you entertained too. There’s an onboard gym to keep you active, as well as live evening entertainment.

And of course, as part of our China river cruises, we invite you to join the Captain’s Welcome Party and Farewell Banquet for truly memorable evenings.
