WILD SOUTH AFRICA

An immersive wildlife experience in Kruger National Park and an exploration of South Africa’s varied game reserves and magnificent natural wonders

South Africa’s winter (May-Oct) is the best time to view its world-renowned wildlife. Due to lack of rainfall, animals and birds congregate at waterholes, lakes and rivers. Moreover, the weather is generally delightful with days long and bright.

One of the world’s largest and best managed game reserves, Kruger National Park boasts over 700 species: birds, mammals, reptiles. Top of most people’s list are the Big Five: elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard. However many other species that also define South Africa are plentiful such as zebra, cheetah and hippo. The iSimangaliso Wetland Park is a great natural wetland, offering a natural home to wonderful birdlife, hippos and crocodiles.

Hluhluwe Umfolozi is the oldest proclaimed reserve in Africa with 95000 hectares of wilderness, rolling hills and magnificent wildlife boasting many Black Rhinos and the world’s largest population of White Rhinos, as well as buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard, blue wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, water-buck, kudu, cheetah, hyena and impala. The private game reserves offer a different game experience with off road driving allowed.
