SPRING SALE - NOW ON

A splendid safari, to the wide savannahs, glittering lakes and Great Rift Valley, this tour reveals the world’s most famous wildlife spectacle in their natural habitats of National Parks and Reserves

With its huge concentration of large animals, hundreds of species of indigenous and migratory birds, herds of plains game from eland and impala and bushbuck, topi, and gazelles, and Big Five reserves where lions and leopards, elephants, rhinos and buffalo roam, Kenya is a peerless place for superb safaris. This tour takes you to mountain heights in Aberdare National Park, its scenic, 765sq.km spread covering rocky ridges and verdant valleys, rushing rivers, and waterfall cascades crashing into forested ravines. Lake Nakuru is home to great flocks of flamingos, its surrounds a variety of habitats from marshes to grasslands, acacia woodland and a euphorbia forest, where fifty mammal species thrive. We enjoy an extended stay in the world-renowned Masai Mara, a Big Five and Big Cat National Reserve, famed for the most thrilling wildlife event on earth, the annual Great Migration, when more than a million wildebeest, joined by hundreds of thousands of zebra, make a grand circuit between ‘the Mara’; and the safari ends at Lake Naivasha, where hippos wallow and wade in the waters and swamps.

This balloon adventure begins early so you can see the day unfold over the Mara. As you rise in the hot air balloon ride, the great display of the Masai Mara unfolds – take in the giraffe, zebra, gazelle and hippos below, as the worlds of birds, rivers and forest fill your horizon. You’ll sail on the prevailing currents over this ancient land for an adventurous hour before settling back to earth, your head now filled with a lifetime of memories.
To complete the celebration a champagne breakfast is served on the Mara plains after the flight, complete with butler service and an open bar. This elegant repast is set at a scenic spot, perhaps on the crest of a hill, perhaps under a lone acacia tree.
