A new and unique luxury cruise from Cairo and the impressive Pyramids to the little known Amarna, especially created to give you a taste of Egypt and its exceptional history and culture
Days 1 & 2 - Cairo
Day 3 - Beni Suef
Day 4 - Minya
Day 5 - Amarna
Day 6 - Minya
Day 7 - Beni Suef
Days 8 & 9 - Cairo
A fantastic opportunity to combine hectic but epic Cairo, from the Pyramids and the Egyptian Museum and National Museum of Egypt, to the historic and Coptic Cairo. Enjoy relaxing sailing stopping at rarely explored ancient sites and tombs in the desert at Tuna el-Gebel, the cliffs at Beni Hassan and the ancient city of Tel el-Amarna, all from the comfort of a 5-star vessel with extended hours of sailing to relax and enjoy the peaceful and majestic Nile.
The ancient capital moved between Upper (Thebes) and Lower Egypt (Memphis), sometimes split and sometimes united, except when the ‘heretic’ Pharaoh Akhenaten and Nefertiti moved the capital to Amarna between the two kingdoms.
This cruise offers a rare occasion to observe an old way of life and ancient sites largely unvisited, with the benefit of spending longer cruising than on the classic Nile cruise. For the returning visitor it will ‘fill in’ part of the gap between the Pyramids and ancient Thebes without the need of a domestic flight.
