Voyages Jules Verne opens up a World of Wonders

New brochure offers overseas experiences from Lebanon short breaks to Christmas cruising.

Innovative specialist tour operator, Voyages Jules Verne, has launched the latest edition of its popular World of Wonders brochure.

Featuring more than 100 tours to over fifty countries across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, India, The Far East and The Americas, World of Wonders 2009/10 contains an array of escorted tour options including old favourites and classic journeys with a twist, as well as a number of exciting new itineraries.

New for 2009/10, Voyages Jules Verne introduces ‘From Baalbeck to Byblos’, an intriguing four-night, five-star itinerary to Lebanon that visits the ‘City of the Sun’, ancient Byblos, the Cedars and cosmopolitan Beirut, with prices from £695 pp*. An improved political situation across the Levant has also enabled the relaunch of ‘Restoration Story’, a former favourite with Voyages Jules Verne clients that encompasses Syria and Lebanon including Palmyra, Crac des Chevaliers, Baalbeck and Byblos. This eight-night tour costs from £995 pp*.

Also new from Voyages Jules Verne for 2009/10 are:

  • Treasures of the Nile – already renowned for its Egypt tours, Voyages Jules Verne adds this ten-night itinerary to its 2009/10 programme. Combining the Pyramids with a week’s Nile cruise, the tour costs from £1,095 pp for ten nights*.

Short haul travellers are well-catered for in the new World of Wonders brochure, too, with three enticing new European options:

  • Norway & the Northern Lights – witness Norway’s magnificent winter display of the Aurora Borealis (weather conditions permitting) on an eight-night tour that includes two nights each in Bergen and Tromso, as well as a four-night cruise. Prices from £995 pp*.
  • A Slice of Madeira – a relaxing week-long sojourn on the sub-tropical garden isle, based in Funchal, that includes a tour of a Madeira wine cellar and complimentary tasting. Prices from £455 pp*.

*According to the itinerary selected, prices are based on two sharing and include air travel and taxes, transportation, accommodation, some meals, a sightseeing programme and the services of guides and local representatives.

As with all of Voyages Jules Verne’s tours, each itinerary has been carefully crafted to capture the true essence of a destination, expertly guided by local English speaking specialists and travelling in limited group sizes. New for 2009/10, the World of Wonders brochure now includes maximum group size information (usually 25) alongside its tour details and, where larger groups are a necessity, these are always split into smaller numbers to make sightseeing a more pleasurable and personal experience.

Single travellers are also well accommodated by Voyages Jules Verne, with many of the tours listed in World of Wonders available at no single supplement, enabling those wishing to join groups of like-minded individuals to do so without financial penalty.

All of Voyages Jules Verne’s arrangements are covered by a Price Guarantee, ensuring that the amount confirmed at the time of booking is the price clients will pay, and will not be subject to further airfare, fuel or currency surcharge increases. And, for further peace of mind and financial security, all of Voyages Jules Verne’s tours are fully bonded under the company’s ABTA and CAA/ATOL licences.
