Nepal from £595

Day 1 Overnight in Delhi at the 4-star Ashok Country Resort.

Day 2 Morning flight to Kathmandu (1400m). On arrival transfer to the 4-star Grand Hotel for a three-night stay. Centrally located, this modern property has been designed in traditional style with 91 rooms, a swimming pool, a fitness club, a poolside garden and a choice of restaurants.

Day 3 An optional morning flight over the Himalayas. In the afternoon visit Patan with its long Buddhist history and stunning display of Newari architecture.

Day 4 A morning excursion to Bhadgaon, timeless and almost medieval, a 9th-century Newari city is followed by an afternoon excursion to Dhulikhel with its prime views of the Himalayas.

Day 5 A morning tour of Kathmandu includes Durbar Square, the ancient Royal residential quarter and local bazaars. Afternoon flight to Delhi to connect with the overnight flight to London Heathrow.
