Mountains and lakes, desert and forest, beaches and ice floes, Chile has them all. Wedged between the snow-capped Andes and the Pacific Ocean, the country barely averages 100 miles across. But what it lacks in width it makes up for in length: from the Atacama desert in the north to the fjords and glaciers of Tierra del Fuego in the south.
