In Patagonia

From Argentina to Chile traversing Tierra del Fuego

13 nights from £2695

The most southerly region of the South American continent has always captured the imagination of writers and adventurers. Its relative inaccessibility has preserved its pristine beauty and protected it as one of the world’s last remaining great unspoilt wildernesses. Spellbinding lakes, imposing mountains, active volcanoes, magnificent glaciers, untouched forest and picture book fjords; breathtaking landscapes of mythology and magic that have yet to be affected in any visual sense by the presence or actions of man. The awe inspiring Perito Moreno Glacier featuring dramatic continuous calving, the spellbindingly beautiful Lago Argentina and Ushuaia standing on the Beagle Channel at the very end of the world.

Across the border is Chile, a long, thin country wedged between the Andes and the Pacific. Here, the region of Ultima Speranza is home to Torres Del Paine National Park with South America’s most spectacular peaks and Punta Arenas where the seadog who inspired Bruce Chatwin’s acclaimed travelogue ‘In Patagonia’ finally expired.
