For many visitors, the ancient desert state of Rajasthan represents quintessential India. Dramatic forts, majestic palaces, ornate havellis, bejewelled Maharaja’s and the dazzling dress of the local rajputs. For many years, we have offered two popular tours to this region, one utilising the railway network, the other staying in small royal residences.

This new programme combines the highlights of both these arrangements and in addition includes visits to the Taj Mahal in Agra and to India’s smallest tiger reserve at Ranthambore, where there will be an opportunity to take a hot air balloon ride (Oct-Mar).

VJV Special Event - A visit to Dastkar
This community was initiated to maintain traditional crafts in villages that have been displaced to create space for the wildlife in Ranthambore, In 2010 VJV guests are invited to the newly introduced Sound & Light show charting 600 years of history.
