By private train on the Trans-Siberian railway between Moscow and Beijing
This private train hosts discerning international travellers and has four restaurant cars with bar service and modern air-conditioned sleeping carriages. The Standard Plus compartments have two lower berths (no washbasin), a toilet/washbasin at the ends of each carriage and a shower compartment in every second to third car. Nostalgic compartments have an upper and lower berth, armchair and share a washbasin and handheld shower with the neighbouring cabin.
The German-operated train travels between Moscow and the Chinese border city of Erlian. Between Erlian and Beijing accommodation for the night is in a two or four-berth compartment (sharing with other passengers on occasion) on a Chinese private train.
