In Brief

Kusadasi - 7 nights.

Day 1 Fly from your chosen airport to Izmir and transfer to Kusadasi for seven nights at your chosen hotel.

Day 2 Day at leisure.

Day 3 A full-day tour to two UNESCO World Heritage sites. Follow the Meander river to Pamukkale, renowned for its travertine terraces and calcified waterfalls, and the ancient Roman city of Hierapolis. There is a possibility of swimming in Cleopatra bath.

Day 4 Day at leisure.

Day 5 A full-day visit to Ephesus includes the Roman Theatre, Baths of Emperor Constantine, the Arcadian Way and Library of Celsus. Visit the Ephesus museum with its statues of Artemis and the House of the Virgin Mary.

Day 6 Day at leisure.

Day 7 A tour to ancient Hellenistic cities. In Miletus, view the city walls, theatre, Zeus Temple, the famous harbour and Lion Statues. Nearby Didyma has the best-preserved temple of the Hellenistic period, the Apollo Temple. In the afternoon, visit the steam train museum with over 20 historic locomotives.

Day 8 Return flight.

Extension - Istanbul

Stay three nights at the centrally located 4-star President Hotel. A two-day programme of sightseeing includes the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, St. Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar and a Bosphorus cruise. Breakfast daily with two lunches and one dinner is also included.

The 4-star President Hotel is close to the Grand Bazaar and the Sultanahmet old town district. Part of the Best Western group with restaurants, coffee shop, a terrace with views over the city, bar, pool (heated in winter), health club, jacuzzi and 204 air-conditioned rooms with private facilities, hairdryer, mini-bar and satellite TV. Breakfast daily with two lunches and one dinner also included.
