In Brief
| Lisbon - 4 nights. |
Day 1 Fly from your chosen airport to Lisbon and transfer to the 4-star Hotel Mundial for a four-night stay. There will be a welcome information meeting (time to be advised), with a glass of port.
Day 2 Take a tram to St. George’s Castle (a 10-minute walk from the tram stop to the castle). Tour the nearby Museum of Decorative Arts and stroll through the cobbled streets of Alfama. Please note that there are numerous steps to be negotiated. Take a second tram and disembark in the elegant quarter of Bairro Alto. Special ‘Mundial Wine Tasting’ event.
Day 3 Take a tram to Belém and visit the Ajuda Palace and tour the Jerónimos Monastery.
Day 4 Take a train to Sintra to tour a former royal palace. Continue to the Quinta da Regaleira. Afternoon at leisure in Sintra.
Day 5 Return flight.
Extension - Porto
Travel north by train to Porto for two nights at the 4-star Grande Hotel do Porto, a city famed as much for the famous drink as its timeless streets, alleyways and Douro riverside location. Outbound/inbound flights with TAP or easyJet from Gatwick.
