Escape to Estoril
Estoril has gained a postwar reputation as a haunt of the “idle rich” and for exiled royalty to the extent that it became known as the “Coast of Kings”
Day 1 Fly from London Heathrow or your local airport to Lisbon and transfer to your chosen hotel for a seven-night stay.
Day 2 We include a walking tour of Estoril and a drink at the Hotel Palácio.
Day 3 At leisure with a range of pre-bookable optional excursions, including a cruise on Lisbon’s River Tagus (£29), a full day in Sintra, the summer residence of the kings of Portugal, (£65) and a visit to olive-producing Azeitao and the Sierra de Arrabida mountains (£45).
Day 4 A half-day tour of Lisbon includes visits to St. George’s castle, Alfama, the oldest quarter of Lisbon, and the 17th-century Bairro Alto. Travel is by rail and we include a 24-hour Lisbon Card (valid on all trains, buses and trams) for extended independent exploration.
Days 5–7 At leisure with a range of pre-bookable optional excursions.
Day 8 Transfer to Lisbon airport for the return flight to Heathrow or your chosen airport.
