During Jul –Oct 2008 visits to Auschwitz-Birkenau, Wadowice and Kalwaria Zebrzydowska and Wieliczka Salt Mines are not included but may be pre-booked. From November 2008 these excursions are included.

Wieliczka Salt Mine - £21
One of the oldest mines in Europe and given UNESCO World Heritage status in 1978. The 3-mile long route leads through galleries and chambers on the mining levels. Here one can see 17th and 19th century chapels, among them the most beautiful St. Kinga's Chapel, carved out of a huge block of salt. This excursion is not suitable for those with walking difficulties.

Auschwitz-Birkenau - £21
In the years 1940-1945 this was the biggest Nazi Concentration Camp where approx. 1.5 million people were exterminated. A Martyrdom Museum was set up here in 1947 and in 1979 UNESCO included Oswiecim-Brzezinka in the list of the World Heritage.

Wadowice and Kalwaria Zebrzydowska - £32
Wadowice is the birthplace of Pope John Paul II. In the family flat there is a museum. The house is located next to the church where Karol Wojtyla was christened. In the nearby Kalwaria Zebrzydowska there is an amaizing Bernardines' church, monastery and a whole complex of chapels and shrines.
