Northern Lights Voyage

Interest in viewing the Northern Lights continues to grow and next winter’s displays are expected one of the brightest for half a century. We have been fortunate to secure a limited number of seats on a direct charter flight (early booking recommended) to Tromsø during the favoured season for seeing the Northern Lights or ‘Aurora Borealis’. A stay in Tromsø, the Arctic capital and starting point of Amundsen’s and Nansen’s polar expeditions, is complemented by a dramatic Arctic cruise northwards through snowy Norwegian landscapes and seascapes to small, colourful ports. When gazing from the North Cape, Europe’s most northerly point, out to sea, one’s thoughts may turn to the English explorer, Richard Chancellor, who named it.
