An Arctic Summer

There are few cruises that offer such an intriguing combination of Arctic adventure and breathtaking natural beauty, whilst sailing on board a working vessel in the company of Norwegians using the vessel as a means of public transport. Summer is the most popular season, with warm and balmy evenings and up to 24 hours of daylight (May–August), to enjoy the dramatic scenery and the bustle of the ships’ short visits to small, isolated ports. Some optional excursions (including the North Cape, Europe’s most northerly point) are offered on board but the focus is on independent exploration.
