Day 1 Fly direct from London Heathrow to Funchal
and transfer to your chosen quinta for a seven-night stay.
Day 2 A day at leisure to explore Funchal or enjoy the hotel facilities.
Day 3 A morning tour to the interior of the island and the Nun’s Valley, followed by a visit to Cabo Girao, the highest sea cliff in Europe, and a short (30 minute) levada walk.
Day 4 A day at leisure.
Day 5 A walk through Quinta Palmeira and Quinta do Palheiro, two of the island’s most beautifully designed private gardens.
Day 6 A full-day tour to the charming east corner of the island and the northwest coast, including lunch.
Day 7 This evening experience the taste of local food and folk dancing accompanied by the Portuguese guitar.
Day 8 Transfer to Funchal airport for the return flight to London. Alternatively extend your stay with a further seven nights at your chosen quinta.
