Day 1Fly from London Heathrow to Reykjavik and transfer to the 3-star Hotel Björk for two nights.
Day 2 Golden Circle tour to Gullfoss, Iceland’s mightiest waterfall, the hot spring area dominated by Geysir and Thingvellir National Park. Evening visit to the Blue Lagoon with time to swim.
Day 3 Travel to Borgarnes and north via Skagafjörður and Eyjafjörður to the capital of the north, Akureyri. Overnight at the 3-star Hotel Norðurland.
Day 4 Visit Goðafoss waterfall, Lake Mývatn, the craters of Skútustaðir, rock formations of Dimmuborgir, Hverfjall and Námaskarð. Overnight at the 3-star Fosshotel Húsavík.
Day 5 Visit volcanic Krafla, the boiling mud pots at Námaskarð, Möðrudalur, the Jökuldalur glacial valley, the fertile region of Fljótsdalshérað and Lögurinn lake. Overnight at the 3-star Hotel
Hallormsstadur.
Day 6 Drive south through the green valleys and deep fjords to Stöðvarfjörður and the small fishing village, Djúpivogur. Continue to Vatnajökull, the biggest glacier in Europe. Overnight at the 3-star Fosshotel Skaftafell.
Day 7 Visit Jökulsárlón and Skaftafell National Park. Continue to the village of Hella for overnight at the 3-star Fosshotel Mosfell.
Day 8Visit the village of Vik, the waterfalls of Skógar and Seljalandsfoss. Transfer to the airport for the return flight.
Extension - Reykjavik
Stay on for three nights at the 3-star Fosshotel Lind in central Reykjavik with the opportunity to join an optional Whale Watching or SuperJeep tour.
