A few days of Icelandic discovery in Reykjavik with included excursions

3 nights from £395, 4 nights from £445 or

Iceland – the ‘‘Land of Ice & Fire’ is a place of living nature and a land of striking contrasts. Nature’s forces have not remained dormant since the land was pushed up from the North Atlantic seabed by volcanic forces that are still alive and active today.
The country is so newly formed in geological terms that 70% of the country is not yet ready for human habitation, being still covered by glaciers, lava fields and harsh terrain – and the local people heat their houses from geothermal sources beneath them!

A choice of accommodation is offered in Reykjavik with excursions to explore the wild and sometimes desolate interior of hot springs, geothermal sites, waterfalls, geysers, rock formations and snowcapped landscapes of Southern Iceland.
