Itinerary - 2010

In 2010 travel by air from London (Heathrow to/from Lyon and Gatwick to/from Marseille).

Martigues to Châlon

Day 1 On arrival transfer to Martigues and embark.

Day 2 Cruise the Canal de Fos. Tour of the Camargue region. Walking tour of Arles and cruise to Avignon.

Day 3 Tour of Avignon and Papal Palace. Cruise to the medieval town of Viviers. Short walking tour after dinner.

Day 4 Visit Ardèche Gorges. Cruise the Rhône past Montélimar to Die for wine tasting.

Day 5 Walking tour of Vienne, then cruise to Lyon for a guided tour. Cruise to Trévoux.

Day 6 Cruise through the Beaujolais vineyards to Tournus. Travel to Beaune for a visit to the Hospices and a wine tasting.

Day 7
Transfer from Châlon to Lyon.

Châlon to Martigues


Day 1On arrival transfer to Châlon and embark.

Day 2 Free time in Mâcon. Sail to Montmerle for ‘Le Beaujolais’ and cruise to Lyon.

Day 3 Tour of Lyon and continue to Tain l’Hermitage.

Day 4 Sail past Montélimar and Viviers. Afternoon visit to the Ardèche Gorges. Overnight in Avignon.

Day 5 Tour of Avignon and Papal Palace. Sail to Arles.

Day 6 Morning tour of the Camargue. Cruise the Canal de Fos. Captain’s farewell dinner.

Day 7 Transfer to Marseille or Aix-en-Provence.
