In Brief
Obsteig - 7 nights.
Day 1 Fly from London Gatwick to Innsbruck. Transfer to the 3-star Landhotel Stern for seven nights.
Day 2 Winter walk with local biologist*.
Day 3 Innsbruck excursion by Postbus with guided walking tour*. Guided torchlit walk* with mulled wine.
Day 4 A horse-drawn sleigh ride.
Day 5 Day at leisure or a cross country skiing introduction* (charge for equipment hire).
Day 6 Travel by skibus to Hochötz* (gondola lift included).
Day 7 Day at leisure or a guided Snowshoe walk* (snowshoes and Nordic walking sticks included).
Day 8 Transfer to Innsbruck for return flight.
Winter Activities
All activities marked with * are offered free of charge by the village of Obsteig. Please check that your travel insurance covers any winter activities you may try. Some activities are subject to weather/snow conditions. The local area bus service and indoor pool at the nearby town of Telfs is also included.
Christmas Season
We offer the opportunity to stay at this family-run hotel for Christmas, including additionally a visit to the Christmas Market in Innsbruck, an Advent Evening with music and story telling on December 23 (German language) and a Gala Dinner on December 24, ‘roasted chestnut & mulled wine’ and a small gift. Early booking is recommended for Christmas.
