A recent extensive visit to Zimbabwe to assess its current tourism infrastructure has encouraged us to create a journey across the country from Harare in the east to Victoria Falls in the west. There is no doubt that Zimbabwe has always had the essential elements that can deliver a rewarding and successful tour: iconic sights, vast rolling landscapes, a great variety of wildlife, a fascinating history and friendly and welcoming people. Our itinerary commences in the capital, Harare, bustling, modern and attractive, before driving south to Great Zimbabwe, the spiritual centre of the country. Continue to Bulawayo and the Matopos Hills, a spectacular natural park where Cecil Rhodes is buried and then travel across Matebeleland to Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe’s most impressive wildlife reserve, for game viewing and a stay in comfortable ‘tree house’ lodges. The journey has the perfect ending in Victoria Falls, the highlight of any visit to Southern Africa.
