Spice Island of Zanzibar

A relaxing beach stay on this historic island with its beautiful beaches, spice plantations and fine Arab architecture

9 nights from £995

Zanzibar has lured traders, adventurers, plunderers and explorers to its shores over the years and the Assyrians,
Sumerians, Egyptians, Phoenicians, Indians, Omani Arabs, Dutch and English have all left their mark on this small island, 25 miles from the Tanzanian coast 60 miles long and 20 miles wide. The capital, Stone Town, has changed little in the last 200 years and is a place of winding alleys, bustling bazaars, mosques and grand Arab houses with their fine carved and studded wooden doors.
