Passage to Cape Town

Day 1 Fly overnight from London Heathrow to Johannesburg.
Day 2 Transfer to the Westcliff Hotel for two nights.

Day 3 At leisure.

Day 4 Transfer to Pretoria and embark on the ‘Pride of Africa’ travelling through the night.

Day 5 A visit to Kimberley includes the ‘Big Hole’ and Diamond Museum.

Day 6 Morning visit to Victorian Matjiesfontein built originally as a watering stop on Cecil Rhodes’s ‘great iron way’ and now an ‘open-air’ museum. Late afternoon arrival in Cape Town and transfer to the Mount Nelson Hotel for four nights.

Day 7 At leisure at the Mount Nelson, one of the world’s great hotels.

Day 8 An excursion to Table Mountain. Later visit the Company Gardens, Museum, the Castle of Good Hope, Greenmarket Square and picturesque Bo-Kaap. The tour ends at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. Note: The Table Mountain visit is weather permitting and excludes cableway ticket.

Day 9 A tour of the Cape Peninsula: Camps Bay, Llandudno and Hout Bay and then via Chapman’s Peak to Cape Point, the Good Hope Nature Reserve, Simons Town, the penguin colony in Boulders Bay and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

Day 10 Return overnight flight to London. Alternatively, extend your stay at the Mount Nelson by a further three nights.

Day 11 Arrive Heathrow in the morning.
