From The Cape to Victoria Falls

A private train from Cape Town to Victoria Falls with stays at classic hotels

13 nights from £3055

The vision of Cecil Rhodes at the end of the 19th century was a plan to link adjacent African possessions of the British Empire through a continuous rail link from the Cape to Cairo. Alas the dream never materialised. Whilst large sections of railway are in operation today a major sector between the Sudan and Uganda is incomplete. With the Victoria Falls Bridge completed in 1905 the southern section of track between Cape Town and the Zambezi was in operation before the First World War.

Follow in the footsteps of Cecil Rhodes on ‘the most luxurious train in the world’ between Cape Town and Victoria Falls.
