Whilst we would not normally feature a claim such as the ‘most luxurious train in the world’, our long and special association with Rovos Rail and the positive feedback from our clients over the years has emboldened us to print this claim. Travel in slow luxury from Cape Town to the South African capital of Pretoria. Follow in the footsteps of Cecil Rhodes whose vision was to link African possessions of the British Empire through a continuous rail link from the Cape to Cairo. The dream never materialised but with the Victoria Falls Bridge completed in 1905, the southern section of track between Cape Town and the Zambezi was in operation before the First World War.
