Day 1 Fly overnight from London Heathrow via Istanbul and Johannesburg to Cape Town on Turkish Airlines or direct on British Airways.
Day 2 Transfer to your chosen hotel for seven nights.
Day 3 An excursion to Company Gardens, the Castle of Good Hope, Greenmarket Square and picturesque Bo-Kaap. Visit Table Mountain, weather permitting (excludes cableway ticket). The tour ends at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.
Day 4 A tour of the Cape Peninsula: Camps Bay, Llandudno and Hout Bay and then via Chapman’s Peak to Cape Point, the Good Hope Nature Reserve, Simons Town, the penguin colony in Boulders Bay and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
Days 5–8 At leisure. The Aquila Safari: an afternoon game drive in a game farm with the opportunity to see giraffe, lion, leopard, zebra and rhino.
Day 9 Overnight flight to London Heathrow via Johannesburg and Istanbul on Turkish Airlines or direct on British Airways.
Day 10 Arrive in the early morning.
Extension – Istanbul
Stay three nights in the great capital of the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires. A two-day programme of sightseeing includes the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, St. Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar and a Bosphorus cruise. The 4-star President Hotel is close to the Grand Bazaar and the Sultanahmet old town district. Part of the Best Western group with restaurants, coffee shop, a terrace with views over the city, bar, pool (heated in winter). health club, jacuzzi and 204 air-conditioned rooms with private facilities, hairdryer, mini-bar and satellite TV. Breakfast daily with two lunches and one dinner also included.
