La Reunion
The unspoilt Indian Ocean island of Réunion, with an included excursion to the Cirque of Cilaos and an option to extend in Mauritius
Day 1 Fly overnight from London Heathrow to Réunion via Mauritius.
Day 2 Arrive in Réunion and transfer to the Hotel Iloha for a seven-night stay.
Day 3 An included full-day excursion to the Cirque of Cilaos. Travel via stunning scenery, waterfalls and geysers and explore the richly exotic flora and fauna of the summit. Lunch has been arranged at Cilaos village.
Day 4 At leisure to enjoy the hotel facilities.
Day 5 An optional visit to La Fournaise volcano, over 2,500m at its peak and surrounded by a lunar landscape fi lled with craters. A creole lunch is included followed by a visit to the Volcano House exhibition (£85).
Day 6 An optional excursion, with lunch, to the south coast, witnessing black lava cliffs and visiting the Notre Dame des Laves, miraculously preserved by a lava river which destroyed the surrounding village (£85). At leisure.
Days 7 & 8 At leisure.
Day 9 Transfer to the airport for the return overnight fl ight to London Heathrow via Mauritius.
Day 10 Arrive London Heathrow.
