Day 1Fly from London Gatwick to Marrakech. Transfer to your chosen hotel for seven nights.
Day 2 An afternoon exploration of the fascinating and colourful souks of the old medina, visiting the Medersa Ben Youssef, a 14th-century religious teaching establishment. A special dinner at a Moroccan restaurant.
Day 3 A full-day tour of Marrakech includes the Koutoubia Minaret, Majorelle Gardens, Bahia Palace, and Dar Si Said Palace Museum of jewellery, costume, chests and doors.
Day 4 An optional full-day tour by jeep to Asni exploring the beautiful High Atlas Mountains and the Berber culture.
Day 5 Visit the ‘blue’ port of Essaouira (3 hrs). Explore the medina, Jewish quarter and ramparts.
Day 6 Visit the gentle Ourika Valley in the foothills of the High Atlas, visiting a Berber village and farm.
Day 7 Day at leisure.
Day 8 Transfer to the airport for the return flight.
Extension - Atlas Mountains
2 nights at Kasbah du Toubkal in the Atlas Mountains at the foot of Toubkal, North Africa’s highest mountain, followed by 1 night back in Marrakech at the Moroccan 5-star Hotel Royal Mirage Deluxe or Le Meridien. Includes 2 dinners and an introductory walk.
