Movenpick in Mauritius

Thanks to the popularity of our 2007 offer at the recently refurbished Mövenpick Mauritius we are delighted to extend a special tariff for selected dates in summer 2008. This arrangement combines exploration of “the star and the key of
the Indian Ocean” with relaxation at a stunning retreat on the island’s southern coast. Almost completely encircled by a beautifully rich coral reef, Mauritius’ coastline is ringed
with tranquil lagoons lapping gently onto the soft white sands of its many beautiful beaches which themselves are fringed with palms and casuarinas and set against a backdrop of dramatically jagged mountains and lush green cane plantations. The fauna of the island is captivating. Colourful
tropical fish proliferate amongst the coral whilst amongst the leaves and flowers similarly brilliant birds disport in a parallel display. Indigenous to Mauritius are its pink pigeons, Mauritius kestrels and echo parakeets whilst commonly sighted
varieties include sparrows, weaverbirds, Indian mynahs, paradise flycatchers, red cardinals, doves and tropic birds. This sylvan playground is additionally coloured by striking arrays of flowers and fruits.
