Part of Madagascar’s charm derives from the fact that it is unspoilt by mass tourism. As a result the country’s infrastructure is still developing and there may be occasional disruptions to the services provided on this tour. This arrangement includes the most important and fascinating regions of Madagascar, however, due to distances and road conditions, some days include extended travel (approximate travel times are in the itinerary dependent on local condititions).
Hotels in Madagascar are simple 2 and 3-star properties consistent with the local environment. Rooms are clean and adequate with private facilities and hot water but the standard is low by international standards. On occasion alternative hotels of a similar standard may be substituted.
