Day 1 Fly from London Heathrow to Tripoli. Transfer to your chosen hotel for four nights.
Day 2 Visit Leptis Magna, once the largest city in Africa and the second city of the Roman Empire.
Day 3 Visit the National Museum and old town of Tripoli. An included dinner.
Day 4 Visit Sabratha with its skilfully reconstructed theatre and museum. Return to Tripoli via Janzour and visit the Punic catacombs.
Day 5 Return flight.
Extension - Apollonia and Cyrene
Visit Qasr Libya, with its marvellously preserved mosaic panels, Cyrene, founded in the 7th century BC, and its port of Apollonia. Cyrene was influenced by many cultures including Carthage, Greece, Egypt and Rome. Includes internal flights, sightseeing, two nights at Hotel Manara with the last night in Tripoli at Hotel El-Khan (extension not available with Corinthia Hotel or Radisson Blu Hotel).

Four nights at the 5-star Mövenpick Cairo Pyramids in Cairo (Click here for hotel description), including breakfast, transfers and three full-day excursions including lunch to the Pyramids and Great Sphinx and Memphis & Saqqara; the Egyptian Museum, Citadel, Mohammed Ali Mosque & Khan el-Khalili; and Coptic Cairo.
