Thebes to Abu Simbel
Cruising between Abu Simbel and Luxor on both the Nile and Lake Nasser
MS Hamees
Built in 2001 and refurbished in 2004 and 2008, this deluxe vessel is equipped with modern navigation and communication systems. The public rooms are spacious and the restaurant accommodates all passengers at one sitting with a combination of waiter and buffet service. Facilities include a lounge, bar, gift shop, laundry service and a large panoramic sundeck with plunge pool. With accommodation for up to 144 guests, over four decks, the well-appointed 21 sq.m. cabins have air-conditioning, private facilities, safe, hairdryer and mini-fridge. All cabins have picture windows except Lower deck cabins and Main deck single cabins, which have portholes.
MS Prince Abbas
The original Prince Abbas cruise vessel carried the first Thomas Cook passengers at the end of the 19th century. Its 5-star successor is elegant, stylish, spacious and larger than the regular Nile cruise vessels. The fine accommodation, accessed from walkways around the vessel, is spread over three decks with all 60 airconditioned cabins having tinted windows and private facilities. There is a one sitting restaurant, library and an informal lounge bar. The Sun Deck has a canopied area, plunge pool, sunbeds and bar. The Egyptian style bamboo seating area is ideal for an evening ‘sun-downer’.
