MS Hamees
Refurbished in 2008, this deluxe vessel has spacious public rooms and one-sitting restaurant. Lounge, bar, shop and sundeck with plunge pool. 72 well-appointed 21 sq.m. cabins with air-conditioning, private facilities, hairdryer, safe and mini-fridge. Please note, on occasion the MS Hamees may be replaced by a vessel of a similar or higher standard.
SS Misr
Now fully restored, this 5-star deluxe propeller steam vessel comprises just 24 passenger cabins and suites with exquisitely decorated public rooms and a high level of service. The positioning of the Marasem Restaurant, Saraya Lounge and Dahabia Bar on the higher decks enhances one’s perspective while cruising. The period-style restaurant accommodates all guests at window tables. The lower sundeck has wicker chairs and the upper sundeck sun beds and a pool. Misr means ‘the Kingdom of Egypt’ and the décor reflects the period with cabins decorated in styles linked to the history of the vessel and Egypt: Ottoman, Empire, English, Art Deco, Louis XV and Louis XVI. The original steam engines may be viewed and the vessel normally travels under steam. The air-conditioned outside cabins or suites have balcony, private facilities, hairdryer, mini-bar and TV. The Upper deck suite accommodation is 50% larger than the regular cabins. Two suites (‘Panorama’) at the front of the vessel offer impressive views.
MS Prince Abbas
The original Prince Abbas carried the first Thomas Cook
passengers at the end of the 19th century. Its 5-star successor is elegant, stylish and larger than the regular Nile cruise vessels. The fine accommodation, accessed from walkways around the vessel, is spread over three decks (60 air-conditioned cabins with private facilities). There is a one sitting restaurant, library and informal lounge bar. The sundeck has a canopied area, plunge pool, sunbeds and bar.
